“Children thrive when they have strong relationships with caring, non-family adults.”

That was the conclusion The Search Institute reached in a landmark 2016 study that tracked and interviewed over 25,000 U.S. children. Youth who had adult mentors were far more likely to be engaged in school and much more motivated to succeed academically.
